Spotlight Saturday - The D.C. Edition

What do Los Angeles and Washington D.C. have in common?

Some pretty rad FWinterns, that’s what.

Take a second and meet Tori Bates. A FWintern that’s been holding it down like a boss in DC!

Hometown: Originally Louisville, KY but now I live in Nashville, TN

Age: 20

School currently attending: Vanderbilt University (one more year of supporting the Dores!)

Biggest biff (aka time you ate it, injured yourself in a humorous way, etc.): In third grade I learned how to ride a bike and promptly ran my face into a tree. My mom wrote a note to my teacher explaining the bruise on my head and my teacher read it out loud to the whole class.

Most epic purchase (besides a whistle): My parents bought me a harp while I was in high school and now I’m majoring in it!

Best thing you have ever done that you should not have done: I definitely should not have gotten a sketchy henna tattoo in Africa from our neighbor who didn’t speak English. It turns out I am super allergic and both my feet, ankles, and calves swelled up and burned for weeks and it still looks like I got branded. But it looked awesome for two weeks and all the locals were beyond impressed. And now I have a great story to tell!

If you could be absolutely anything and be the best at it; what would it be?: I would love to speak every language in the world perfectly!
